The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in applying and maintaining nail enhancements using either liquid and powder or UV gel nail systems.You will also learn practical skills in the application of airbrush designs for nails, using electrical files, and the application and design of nail art.You will learn underpinning knowledge relating to these technical skills. In addition you will know how to promote both products and services to salon clients and you will gain a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment.You will also gain the necessary client care and communication skills as well as an understanding of how to work with colleagues in a nail or beauty salon.The legislations referred to within this qualification apply to UK learners. For learners outside of the UK, you should familiarise yourself with legislations that may apply to you.
Master advanced nail technology techniques including sculpting with gel or acrylic, airbrushing, nail art, and safe use of electric files. Gain expertise in client consultations, hygiene, and promoting services. You’ll develop strong communication and teamwork skills to succeed in a salon setting, while deepening your understanding of professional standards, safety, and salon operations.

There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. Your centre will have ensured that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.

What’s Included?

- English and maths (if you haven’t yet achieved grade 4/C at GCSE)

You’ll be in a supportive learning environment with access to tutors, pastoral care, and career guidance.
Am I Eligible?
To enrol on a fully funded Study Programme, you must:
- Be aged 16 to 19 on 31st August before the academic year starts
- Be living in England and eligible for state education funding
- Not already hold a full Level 3 qualification (depending on the programme)
