The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology Studies is a qualification specifically designed to develop your practical skills in manicure, pedicure, nail enhancements using liquid and powder or UV gel systems, electrical filing and creative nail art design. You will also learn about health and wellbeing, client care and communication, and how to promote products and services within a salon environment. In addition, you will gain underpinning knowledge of health and safety practices and develop the professional skills needed to work successfully within the nail and beauty industry.
Master advanced nail technology techniques including manicure, pedicure, sculpting with gel or acrylic, creative nail art design and the safe use of electric files. Gain expertise in client consultations, health and wellbeing, hygiene, and promoting products and services. You’ll develop strong communication and teamwork skills to succeed in a salon setting, while deepening your understanding of professional standards, health and safety, and salon operations.
Assessment, exams, Knowledge units: Quiz & theory presentations
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. Your centre will have ensured that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.

Course Cost for Level 3 Nails
- £3345 if using government funding (Advanced Learner Loan)
- £3345 + VAT (£4014 total) if self-funding
Course fees are set by HM Government and published by the Education and Skills Funding Agency on the Learning Aims Reference Service (LARS).

To qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan, you must:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
- Be a UK national or have the right to live and work in the UK
