This qualification is based on Hairdressing National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's lead hairdressing professional association (The Hairdressing Council) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a senior hairdresser/stylist.
Learn cutting, colouring, and styling. Understand hair theory, consultation, health & safety, advanced techniques, and product knowledge to prepare for salon or mobile work.
Assessment, exams, End Point assessment EPA, Knowledge units: Quiz & theory presentations
Learners should hold a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing prior to undertaking this qualification.

Course Cost for Level 3
- £3,345 if using government funding (Advanced Learner Loan)
- £3,345 + VAT (£4,014 total) if self-funding
Course fees are set by HM Government and published by the Education and Skills Funding Agency on the Learning Aims Reference Service (LARS).

To qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan, you must:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
- Be a UK national or have the right to live and work in the UK

Install and maintain hair extensions using various techniques. Consult with clients on suitable styles and perform aftercare guidance.
Teach foundational and advanced hairdressing techniques. Develop lessons, deliver demos, and mentor students in formal or private settings.
