Enhance your skills and become a qualified massage therapist with the VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Massage. Over 8 months, you’ll train 1 day a week at one of our academies. Learn body massage, Indian head massage, aromatherapy, and stone therapy, plus essential health & safety and promotional planning. This course confirms your competence and prepares you for spa, salon, or freelance roles.
You’ll gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills in professional massage therapy techniques, including full body massage, Indian head massage, aromatherapy using pre-blended oils, and hot stone therapy. You’ll also develop your understanding of anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and how to contribute to promotional activities. This course prepares you for real-world salon, spa, or freelance massage work through both theory and practical training.
Assessment, exams, Knowledge units: Quiz & theory presentations
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. Your centre will have ensured that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.

Course Cost for Level 3 Massage
- £3345 if using government funding (Advanced Learner Loan)
- £3345 + VAT (£4014 total) if self-funding
Course fees are set by HM Government and published by the Education and Skills Funding Agency on the Learning Aims Reference Service (LARS).
