The VTCT Level 1 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills through the following units; improving the appearance of the hands and feet with basic manicure and pedicure services, providing relaxing head massage treatments, cleansing, toning and moisturising and giving advice on skin care, and basic day make-up application. To further enhance your skills you will also cover artistic and creative elements on your course such as nail art, themed face painting and photographic make-up. To underpin this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety and you will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the skills required to support you in the beauty therapy industry such as salon reception duties and working with others. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy and will provide you with the foundation for further learning. It will also enable you to perform your own basic services and to assist others in the salon.

Am I Eligible?
To enrol on a fully funded Study Programme, you must:
- Be aged 16 to 19 on 31st August before the academic year starts
- Be living in England and eligible for state education funding
- Not already hold a full Level 3 qualification (depending on the programme)
We also welcome learners with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) up to age 25.

Provide in-home beauty treatments tailored to client needs. Manage bookings, hygiene, and transport while delivering high-quality, professional services.
Support senior beauty staff with treatments, cleaning, and customer care. Ideal entry point into the beauty industry with hands-on salon experience.
Teach practical and theoretical skills to aspiring beauty professionals. Prepare lesson plans, deliver training, and assess learners in educational or private settings.
